One more held in Paritala case
ANANTAPUR,
FEB. 22.
Central Bureau of Investigation sleuths arrested one more suspect in the Paritala Ravindra murder case here on Tuesday. U. Anandkumar Reddy alias Anand Reddy alias `Rice Mama' of P. Narayanapuram village in Kuderu mandal was arrested on the charge of helping the action team members.
Anand Reddy was produced in the Additional Judicial First Class Magistrate court and the judge, A. Jayaraj, sent him to 13 days judicial custody. The statements of two suspected eyewitnesses in the case -- Varadappa and Raghu -- were recorded by the Mobile Court Magistrate, Srinivasa Murthy, under Section 164 of CrPC. They were reportedly bound over and let off with the condition of periodical (daily) presence before the CBI. Mr. Jayaraj, postponed his decision on the CBI plea seeking permission for taking blood samples and specimen signatures of five suspects.
