Sees a newsreader in Naidu
HYDERABAD,
FEB. 22.
Congress members in the Assembly on Tuesday likened the Telugu Desam Party president, N. Chandrababu Naidu, to a newsreader.
On a day of high drama, which saw TDP members getting suspended for stalling the proceedings of the House, the Congress members led by the Agriculture Minister, N. Raghuveera Reddy, addressed a press conference. Terming Mr. Naidu's speech insipid and lacking punch, they said the way the Leader of the Opposition spoke reminded one of a newsreader.
"Referring to old news clippings, Mr. Naidu made a very good newsreader rather than a leader," he remarked. "After his speech, the television channels should think of roping in the TDP president as newsreader," he quipped.
