HYDERABAD, FEB. 22. The Finance and Legislative Affairs Minister, K. Rosaiah, said he had "reluctantly" moved separate resolutions seeking the suspension of the TDP deputy leader, N. Janardhan Reddy, and others on Tuesday for their "unruly behaviour." Speaking to reporters here, Mr. Rosaiah deplored the behaviour of the TDP members and their party president, N. Chandrababu Naidu. He said Mr. Janardhan Reddy had failed to withdraw his utterances despite repeated plea from him as well as the Speaker, K. R. Suresh Reddy. "No responsible legislator will digest such utterances," he added. The TDP members wanted to create trouble in the House at any cost and hence disrupted the proceedings. Mr. Rosaiah said it was unbecoming of the TDP members to have mobbed the Speaker after their deputy leader was suspended.
TDP charge denied
On revocation of the suspension, Mr. Rosaiah said the Government did not want the Opposition to be left out and hence withdrew its decision. He dismissed the Opposition charge that the treasury benches were afraid of facing the TDP, which planned to corner the Government on the killing of Paritala Ravi. To another query, he said there was no question of the Government requesting the TDP members to attend the House. On the suspension of Dr. Janardhan Reddy, he said as the member had failed to tender unconditional apology or withdraw his remarks no decision had been taken on revocation.
