Now yoga on train

VISAKHAPATNAM, FEB. 22. For the first time, pilgrims going to various places of religious importance will get training in yoga or dhyana onboard a special train.

A city-based spiritual organisation, Rishignanam Vedavidya Sadhana Prachara Parishat has tied up with the Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation Limited (IRCTCL) for running special tourist trains from Visakhapatnam to Tirupati, Haridwar, Allahabad/Varanasi.

The trains are run under the village-on-wheels scheme announced in the last Budget to promote tourism to religious, historical and cultural places of importance.

The fare includes food, accommodation, sightseeing, vedic rituals and darshan.

A spokesman for Rishignanam, Suryabhagavan Pradhanacharya, said that they would operate Visakhapatnam-Tirupati-Kalahasti-Tirupati train on February 26 and Visakha-New Delhi-Haridwar-Rishikesh- Allahabad-Benaras on March 6. Details can be had by dialling 94405-46117.
