Describing basic infrastructure as most important for trade promotion with Nepal and for the nation's security, Mr Tiwari told the Foreign Secretary, Shyam Saran, that funds are required for the development of the bordering areas as well as 29 other development blocks identified by the State Government. The Government planned to spend Rs 29 crores on this work during the next fiscal year. Presently it is getting a grant of only Rs 5 crores for the purpose.
