Second win for Ahmedabad

MUMBAI, FEB. 22 . Ahmedabad notched up its second consecutive win in the State Bank of India all-India inter-Circle cricket (40 overs), defeating Lucknow by 45 runs at the Police Gymkhana.

Brief scores: Ahmedabad 239 for eight in 40 overs (Tejas Varsania 99) bt Lucknow 194 in 34 overs (Rahul Sapru 67 not out).

North-East 131 in 35.4 overs lost to Bhubaneshwar 133 for two in 22.5 overs (Phalgun Pathak 45, Subrajyoti Kanungo 45 not out).

Patna 282 for two in 40 overs (Sanjeev Kumar 104, Tarun Kumar 101, Kamaljeet Khanna 53) bt Kerala 111 in 23.1 ov (Raghu 52).

Bangalore 238 for nine in 40 overs (B.Y. Bhaskar 46, Suresh Shanbal 40, Manoj Turakhia 45) lost to Kolkata 243 for three in 37.1 overs (Mainak Sengupta 117 not out, Arindam Sarkar 51).

Hyderabad 276 for four in 38 overs (Vincent Vinaykumar 81, Abdul Azem 42, Abrar Ahmed 53) bt Chennai 197 for seven in 40 overs (V. Suresh 43).
