PATHANAMTHITTA, FEB. 22. The annual ritual of Padayani at the Bhagavathikkunnu Temple at Elanthoor will come to a close with the Valiya Padayani festival on Friday. Padayani Kolams of Kalan, Yakshi, Marutha, Sundara-Yakshi, Anthara-Yakshi, Arakki-Yakshni and Bharavi, dancing to the percussion of the Thappu (drum) on the temple premises is the attraction of the annual festival. The Bhairavi Kolam performance will be the major attraction of the Valiya Padayani, according to the Elanthoor Padayani Sanghom.
