Attack on missionaries: five arrested

FEB. 22.
The Oachira police today arrested five more activists of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) in connection with the attack on a group of Christian missionaries on Monday night at Klapana near Karunagapally. Two RSS activists, Shaji and Kiran, were arrested last night. The identity of those arrested today were given as Abinish, Swaminatha Panikkar, Abilash, Baby and Praveen. All the seven activists have been remanded by a court at Karunagapally this evening.
A 30-member gang had attacked the missionaries at Klapana while they were engaged in a prayer meeting.
The police said that the other members of the gang have been identified and would be arrested soon.
