Workshop on electronic journalism

BANGALORE, FEB. 22. Suchitra Cinema and Cultural Academy will organise a five-day workshop on electronic journalism from March 17.

The workshop will teach individuals how to operate the camera, select audio bytes, cover legislature, sports and accidents, set up outdoor shoots and the legal and ethical issues related to broadcast journalism. The workshop will also include interactive discussions with media professional.

It is open to students of mass communication programmes, young professionals working in media houses and individuals interested in learning these skills.

Film festival

The academy will hold its annual film festival, "Chitrabharathi", from March 2 to March 16. More than 30 films in seven regional languages will be screened. There will also be seminars and discussions with film directors. Entry to the festival is through delegate cards. Interested persons can contact the academy on Ph: 26711785.
