Partly clear sky with thunderclouds likely to develop by afternoon or evening on Wednesday has been forecast for the city. The minimum temperature is likely to be around 19 degree Celsius.

The maximum temperature recorded on Tuesday was 33.1 degree Celsius and minimum temperature was 19.4 degree Celsius with a relative humidity of 39 per cent.

A photo exhibition titled `Know AIDS - Prevent AIDS' was inaugurated by the Salar Jung Museum Director, A.K.V.S. Reddy at the Western Block of the museum here on Tuesday.

The ten-day exhibition is being organised by the Field Exhibition Office, DAVP, Hyderabad, according to a press release.

Elocution

District-level elocution competitions will be conducted on February 23 from 10.30 a.m. at the Neredmet DIET college for the Hyderabad district students as part of the National Science Day on February 28.

The topic for the debate is "Role of Science in the Eradication of Superstitions" and it would be held in Telugu, Urdu and English.

The new office-bearers of the Paramedical Employees Union of the Nizam's Institute of Medical Sciences have been elected.

Accordingly, M. Haranadh Babu is the president while P. Karuna, V. Prabhakar Rao and O. Hulda Rani are the vice-presidents.

K.D. Mallikarjuna is the general secretary and A. Sridhar is the treasurer. The joint secretaries are Esther Kumudini, K. Srinivasa Rao and J. Dhana Laxmi while Shanmukha Swamy, M. Srinivasa Rao and E. Karuna, are the organising secretaries, according to a press release.

BSNL staff

Members of the United Forum for BSNL Executives on Tuesday organised lunch-hour demonstrations throughout the Andhra Pradesh Circle offices to press their demands. The demonstration is the first phase of their agitation programme

E. Sivaramudu, chairman, and P. Srinivasa Prasad, secretary of the Forum, said in a press release that a demonstration was held in front of the office of Chief General Manager, Telecommunications, Andhra Pradesh Circle.
