NEW DELHI, FEB. 22. Two persons, allegedly involved in disposing of stolen vehicles, have been arrested by the North-West Delhi police. The police have recovered 13 stolen vehicles at the instance of the accused, who used to dispose of the vehicles in Bhopal and Bangalore, and solved 20 cases of vehicle theft. According to the police, one of the accused, Dalip, was arrested when he was going in a stolen Maruti van near Japani Park in Rohini on February 7. The vehicle had been stolen by his associate, Dalip Senger, from Patel Nagar in West Delhi. Dalip was produced in the court and remanded to police custody during which the police recovered the stolen vehicles -- one Tata Indica, a Toyota Qualis, 10 Santro cars and one Maruti car -- from Bangalore and Bhopal at his instance. At Dalip's instance, the police also arrested the second accused, Joginder. The duo would receive stolen vehicles from Senger, Sanjay Bhola and Surender Sandhu, all auto-lifters. Dalip used to prepare the forged documents for the vehicles and dispose them of to Bhopal and Bangalore. The duo used to tell the buyers that the vehicles had been auctioned by the banks after their first purchasers had failed to pay the instalments. They used to prepare documents pertaining to Haryana only. Further investigations in the case are on.
