dated February 24, 1955: Speaker pulls up members

The Speaker, Mr. G.V. Mavlankar, said in the Lok Sabha on February 22 that it was not a good Parliamentary habit to make a "running commentary" while the Speaker was on his legs. He made the remark while giving his ruling on an adjournment motion in the House complaining of lack of protection to voters in Andhra. Some Communist members of the House were heard murmuring while the Speaker gave his ruling.
