Alappuzha

ALAPPUZHA, FEB. 23. The Chief Minister, Oommen Chandy, will inaugurate the second phase of the cleaning of canals of Alappuzha at a function at Alappuzha Municipal Ground on March 5. The district administration has planned various programmes in connection with the inaugural ceremony, an official press release said. A boat rally would be held through the canals of the town prior to the inauguration. The rally would from the municipal office to Alappuzha municipal stadium.
