TDP to raise ryots' issue in Parliament
By Our Staff Reporter
HYDERABAD,
FEB. 23.
The Telugu Desam Party has decided to expose the failure of the Centre and the State Government to bail out farmers in distress and ensure remunerative prices to cotton and chilly growers.
The TD Parliamentary Party (TDPP), which met here on Wednesday night under the chairmanship of N. Chandrababu Naidu, decided to corner the UPA Government on various issues. While the problems faced by farmers would be highlighted during the budget session of Parliament beginning February 25, the TDPP has decided to raise the manner in which the BJP- led Government was dismissed in Goa.
The TDPP leader, K. Yerran Naidu, at a press conference here said that the Government's failure to pass the Employment Guarantee Bill would also be exposed. The spate of suicides by farmers and weavers would also be brought to the Centre's notice for remedial action.
