ISLAMABAD, FEB. 23. The Pakistani actress, Meera, has been "fined heavily" by the Pakistan Government for performing a kissing scene in the Bollywood film, `Nazar'. The Pakistan Government is considering banning Pakistani actors from appearing in Indian films. The Ministry of Culture has imposed a heavy fine on Ms. Meera as her actions were "against Islamic ethics and moral values," Pakistan's Online news agency, quoting an Information Ministry spokesman, reported. Ms. Meera is seen kissing her Indian co-star, Ashmit Patel, in Mahesh Bhatt's new film Nazar The Government is considering the imposition of a ban on Pakistani actors from acting in Indian films following protests over some "vulgar" scenes featuring Ms. Meera in Mr. Bhatt's film, the agency reported.
