VIJAYAWADA, FEB. 23. As part of efforts to provide relief to the tsunami-affected families, the Congress Legislature Party deputy leader and Mylavaram MLA, Chanumolu Venkata Rao, has donated Rs. 20.02 lakhs to the Chief Minister's Relief Fund. The CLP deputy leader accompanied by senior Congress leaders of the district handed over a cheque to the Chief Minister, Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy, on Tuesday. In a press release issued here, Mr. Rao said that the amount included his personal contribution as well as donations mobilised from philanthropists from five mandals -- Ibrahimpatnam, Mylavaram, G. Konduru, Reddygudem and A.Konduru -- falling under his constituency. He thanked the people from all walks of life for donating liberally.
