BANGALORE, FEB. 23. A 35-year-old woman was killed on the spot when she was run over by a Bangalore Metropolitan Transport Corporation (BMTC) bus on Vatal Nagaraj Road, off Sujatha cinema, on Wednesday. The police said Shanthamma, a widow and a resident of Kamalanagar, was riding pillion on a scooter with her neighbour. Around 10.45 a.m. the scooter skid on Vatal Nagaraj Road, opposite Reshme Bhavan, and she fell. A BMTC, bus bound for Shivajinagar from KHB Colony, ran over her. The scooter rider went missing after the accident, the police said. The Malleswaram Traffic police seized the bus and arrested the driver, Thippeswamy. court case.
