Crime Watch

Woman relieved of gold

Two unidentified women relieved a housewife of 3.2 tolas jewellery after luring her with a share in the `gold bar' they reportedly found on the road near Secunderabad railway station on Tuesday. Sujatha, of Balajinagar in Yapral, was passing by the Rathifile bus stop when two women threw a bar in front of her. Acting as if they too saw the yellow bar, they convinced Sujatha that it was made of gold and that they all should share it. After a while, they asked Sujatha to part with her jewellery and keep the gold bar with her instead.

The unsuspecting housewife gave away her ornaments and took the bar to a goldsmith only to learn that it was made of brass.
