Service tax payment

COIMBATORE: The Office of the Commissioner of Central Excise, Coimbatore, has appealed to service providers to pay the service tax liability for March by March 31 itself to avoid penalty and interest. According to a release, usually service tax for March/quarter ending March is to be paid by April 25. A notification dated January 14 issued in this regard stipulates that the tax for March/quarter ending March should be paid by March 31.
