By Our Special Correspondent
SHIMOGA, FEB. 24. The president of the Akhila Bharata Sharana Sahitya Parishat, Go. Ru. Channabasappa, has said that society is being weakened with growing distrust, animosity and hatred among people. The only way to reverse this trend is to ensure the participation of social service organisations in constructive activities, he added. Speaking at the valedictory function of the centenary celebrations of Rotary International here on Wednesday, he called for introspection to find out the reasons for the spread of naxalite activities in the State. He said it is not possible for political parties to evolve solutions to social problems. Mr. Channabasappa said it is unfortunate that discontentment is on the rise among people, despite material success of the human race.
