EDINBURGH: A partially sighted man who bit his guide dog and kicked it has been charged with animal cruelty and breach of the peace and arrested. An eyewitness reported seeing the 34-year-old bite the Labrador and kick it repeatedly at a shopping mall here on February 8. The police took the eight-year-old dog into protective care and handed it to the Guide Dogs for the Blind Association. — AP
