Somalis greet leaders

JOWHAR (Somalia): Somalia's President, Abdullahi Yusuf Ahmed, and his Prime Minister arrived in Somalia on Thursday to a warm reception by a crowd of about 300 who sang and shouted to welcome them. This is Mr. Yusuf's and the Prime Minister, Ali Mohamed Gedi's first trip to Somalia since a transitional government was formed last year in neighbouring Kenya. The Government has remained in Kenya because it considers Somalia too dangerous. The two men arrived in separate planes, leading a 47-member delegation that includes eight Cabinet Ministers and several lawmakers. — AP
