CHANDIGARH, FEB.24. A spokesman of the Haryana Secondary Education Department today said that the Punjab and Haryana High Court had ordered closure by April 30 this year of all private schools operating from residential premises and buildings not earmarked for schools. The spokesman said the managements of such schools had been directed not to admit students to any class for the academic session 2005-06 onward. Sufficient seats were available in the Government schools to accommodate such students who might be affected because of the closure of these private institutions. Parents have also been advised not to admit their wards to such schools in the next academic session starting from April 1.The spokesman said that the list of such schools was available with the Directorate of Secondary Education, Chandigarh, and the District Education Officers or District Primary Education Officers.
