Pongala offered to deity on behalf of Jayalalithaa

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM,
FEB. 24.
The birthday of the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister, Jayalalithaa, was celebrated here by the State unit of the All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK) by offering Pongala to Attukal Devi.
The pongala was offered by Chandra Rajaapandian, wife of the AIADMK State secretary, K.P. Rajaapandian, on the Attukal temple premises this morning.
"The pongala was offered for the success and longevity of the Chief Minister," said Mrs. Rajaapandian, who made the offering in three separate earthen pots. Fifty-seven party activists joined her in making the offering to the deity.
