RANCHI, FEB 24. Jharkhand Chief Minister Arjun Munda today expressed confidence that the BJP-led alliance would return to power with more seats. Asserting that voters had favoured development programme of the BJP-led government in the state, Mr Munda told UNI at his residence here that though the final results would only be known after February 27, he was certain that the BJP and JD (U) would win a majority on their own. "Though the final decision is of the voters, I am very certain that they will respect the outgoing government's achievements and repose faith in us again. We are certain to win a majority on our own,'' he said, a day after the state's first-ever elections came to an end. Mr Munda said the electorate had apparently responded well to the `positive' issues of development and security, the NDA had favoured as its poll plank. ``According to the assessments given to me, the party has done well and will make fresh gains, including notching up victories in seats where we have fetched a blank since 1952,'' he claimed. -- UNI
