BHOPAL, FEB 24 . A Nigerian was arrested in connection with a cyber fraud wherein he allegedly tried to extract Rs 45 lakhs from a city resident with the help of an unsolicited e-mail declaring the latter as a winner of a `Tsunami Relief Lottery'. Victor Aiwunun Osunobon had sent the unsolicited e-mail from address `internationallotry2005.yahoo.com.Au' to the city resident declaring him the winner of eight lakh Euro through a lucky draw of `Tsunami Relief Lottery', Superintendent of Police (SP) Pawan Srivastava told a press conference here. The resident, whose name was kept secret due to security reasons, contacted the cyber crime department, following which the sender of the e-mail was lured for negotiations here, the SP said adding, Victor presented himself as `Duke' and a representative of the lottery. Victor claimed that half of the winning amount would have to be given for Tsunami relief and demanded Rs 45 lakhs as processing fee from the resident. However, no passports or visa documents were found on Victor, who claims to be a resident of Nigeria, Srivastava said adding, the accused further claimed that he stays in Bangalore and had reached here in December, 2004. On his co-accomplices involved in the crime, the SP said ``we have information about a fraud racket in Nigeria going by the name of `419 coalition'.
