NEW DELHI, FEB.24. An alleged contract killer, who was hired to eliminate a person at Ahmedabad in Gujarat, was arrested from Mangolpuri in North-West Delhi by a special team of the Crime Branch on Tuesday. A country-made firearm was recovered from his possession. Acting on a tip-off that a criminal would pass by Kala Mandir Cinema at Mangolpuri, the police laid a trap and intercepted his scooter. During interrogation, he identified himself as Nadeem Malik, a resident of Aligarh in Uttar Pradesh. Nadeem disclosed that one Satish Sharma had hired him for Rs. 1 lakh to eliminate one Afzal with whom his niece, a resident of Gandhi Nagar in East Delhi, had fled to Ahmedabad where they were married.
