Sensex ends flat
MUMBAI,
FEB. 24.
The Sensex today remained flat for the second straight session showing a modest fall of eight points in lacklustre activity even as operators and retailers chose to be cautious ahead of the budget on Monday.
The BSE benchmark 30-share index opened strong at 6616.37 and later fluctuated in a narrow range of 6621.68 and 6563.41 before ending the day at 6574.21 against yesterday's close of 6582.50, a net loss of 8.29 points.
Operators were extremely cautious ahead of the budget and ignored a smooth rollover of positions at the last day of February contract in derivatives segment. — PTI
