TAMBARAM, FEB. 24. An accused who was being taken to the Chennai Central Prison from Kancheepuram escaped at Tambaram today. According to Chengai East police, Solomon and two others were produced at a Kancheepuram court. After the court extended their remand, they were being brought back to the prison and were accompanied by a couple of escort policemen. They reached Tambaram by bus and were on their way to the railway station to go to the Central Prison. Even as the escort policemen were leading the three accused men, Solomon gave the slip to the police and escaped.
