MADURAI, FEB. 24. Eye camps and scores of welfare activities marked the centennial celebrations of the Rotary International here on Wednesday. Members of the Rotary, Rotractors and Interactors Clubs took out a rally from the Tamukkam grounds to Raja Muthiah Mandram to commemorate the day. The focus of the centennial day was on eye care. Two eye-screening camps were held at Balamandiram Primary School and Pandian Nedunchezhian Corporation Boys High School, in which more than 1,200 students benefited. A. Annamalai, Postmaster General of the Southern Region, presented a special commemorative stamp. M. Ilangovan, Rotary District Governor, spoke.
