NEW DELHI, FEB. 24. Unattended mobile phones, cameras and currency worth over Rs 2 lakh have been recovered by Central Industrial Security Force personnel at Indira Gandhi International Airport here during the past 24 hours. The recovery included a lady's purse in the Transit Lounge of the International Terminal. The purse, which contained Rs 45,000 and $ 15 in cash, was found by Head Constable R.K.S. Yadav and subsequently restored to its owner, M. Jeon, who was about to board flight MH 191. In another case, a passenger of an Air India flight, Kiyotohawa Kazoki, left his bag unattended at the X-ray BIS machines in the International Terminal. But before this bag, which contained a mobile phone and a camera worth Rs 85,000, could fall into wrong hands, it was spotted by Inspector A.S. Kadyan, through whom it was later restored to the passenger. The CISF personnel also recovered four mobile phones in the airport's security hold areas. While two of these were restored to their owners, the others were deposited with the Airport Manager as no one came forward to claim them.
