NEW DELHI, FEB. 24. Chemists' shops across the city will remain closed on Friday in protest against the recent High Court order disallowing chemists operating from residential premises. A dharna will also be staged at Jantar Manar. On Thursday, a delegation of the Retailer and Distributor Chemists' Association met the Delhi Health Minister, Yoganand Shastri, to apprise him of the difficulties being faced by chemists all over the city. They also demanded renewal of their drug licences in residential premises. The Federation of Indian Pharmacists' Organisation has extended its support to the All India Chemists' Association stating that the units in residential premises were non-polluting and doing a service to the public.
