MUMBAI, FEB 25. Reputations took a tumble on the penultimate day of the AITA National Series Junior Tennis with top seeds Prerna Maitri and Christopher Marquis shown the door in senior girls and junior boys categories at the Practennis courts here today.
Boys U-14: 5-Mansingh Athare (Mah) bt 2-Sameer Paranjape (Mah) 6-2, 6-1; 6-Sudanwa Sitaram (TN) bt 1-Christopher Marquis (Mah) 6-4, 4-6, 6-2. Boys U-18: 4-Nitish Raaj (UP) bt 3-Kaushik Raju (Kar) 6-4, 6-4; 5-Krishna A. S. Suresh (AP) bt 8-Tariq Jacob (TN) 2-6, 7-6 (9-7), 6-0. Boys U-18 doubles: Tariq Jacob/Mangal Shriram bt Nitish Raaj/Ankit Patel 7-5, 6-3; Akash Gujarati/Akash Wagh bt Navneetha Kannan/Arpit Sharma 7-5, 3-6, 6-3.
