Ponnala vows to protect State's interests

HYDERABAD,
FEB.25.
The State Government is raising the issue of the violation of the Bachawat Award by Karnataka and Maharashtra at various fora, including the Union Ministry of Water Resources, Parliament and the Tribunal, the Major Irrigation Minister, Ponnala Laxmaiah, said on Friday.
To a query by M. Padma Devender Reddy and E. Rajender ( both TRS) whether it was a fact that Karnataka and Maharashtra were constructing irrigation projects on the Manjeera in violation of the Bachawat Award, the Minister replied in the affirmative during question hour.
