TIRUCHI, FEB.25. The Tiruchi Corporation would undertake door-to-door enumeration of voters, who had completed 18 years of age by January 1, 2005 between March 1 and April 15. According to a press release, services of employees belonging to 78 offices of the Central and State Government departments have been requisitioned. They will be deployed on the basis of an enumerator per polling booth and one supervisor for two enumerators. Accordingly, there will be 97 enumerators and 49 supervisors for Tiruchi - I Assembly constituency, and 156 enumerators and 80 supervisors for Tiruchi - II Assembly constituency. The Corporation Commissioner, Harmandar Singh, handled a three-day training programme for 57 enumerators and 29 supervisors. Other officials trained other enumerators and supervisors. The Corporation has requested the public to cooperate with the enumerators by producing their voter identity cards.
