ANANTAPUR, FEB. 26. The family members of Paritala Ravindra on Saturday opposed any move to conduct a re-post mortem on the body of the slain MLA. They were reacting to reports about the possibility of the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), which is probing the murder case, seeking a re-post mortem. Talking to newspersons here, Ravindra's uncles -- D. Kondanna, L. Narayana Chowdary and Venkatramudu - questioned the need for a re-post mortem when the killers had clearly told that they had shot dead Ravindra. Instead, arresting the conspirators involved in the case would be useful to the investigation, they said. They threatened to end their lives if the CBI insisted on a re-post-mortem. They had contacted the CBI today after watching the news on television and reading it in newspapers. However, the CBI denied any such move, they claimed. Meanwhile, the district TDP party leaders -- U. Hanumantharaya Chowdary, B.K. Parthasarathi, P. Raghunatha Reddy -- and others, who were present, said they would discuss the issue with the family members before arriving at a decision, if at all the CBI insisted on a re-post mortem.
