Mohd. Sporting wins

JAMSHEDPUR, FEB. 26. Kolkata giant Mohammedan Sporting established its supremacy when it defeated an inexperienced TFA XI by a brace in the exhibition match for tsunami victims at the J.R.D. Tata Sports complex here today.

Amjad Hussain, who played for junior India team, drew first blood in the 16th minute. He received a pass on the top of the box and took a powerful shot to deceive the TFA custodian (1-0).

The Kolkata team continued its attack and got the second goal after nine minutes when midfielder Krishna Tudu who also represented India in the sub-junior section, took a well-measured grounder after trapping a ball from Jiten Rai and netted the second and the final goal for his team (2-0). — UNI
