Secunderabad triumphs

NEW DELHI, FEB. 26. Secunderabad overpowered Coimbatore 80-73 to win the all-India inter-YMCA basketball title here on Saturday.

J. Pankaj contributed 32 points for the winning team while C.V. Dinesh, who was later declared the `Man of the Tournament,' scored 29 points for the runner-up.

The scores: Final: Secunderabad 80 (J. Pankaj 32) bt Coimbatore 73 (C.V. Dinesh 29). Semifinals: Coimbatore 71 (C.V. Dinesh 21) bt Ernakulam 59 (Baijitin 21, Manoj 14); Secunderabad 73 (Nirmal Yadav 21, P. Santosh 16) bt New Delhi `A' 33 (Birender 18).
