Should I jump like Hanuman?

NEW DELHI, FEB. 26. Hectic electioneering in the Bihar Assembly polls had made the Railway Minister, Lalu Prasad, so tired that today he had great difficulty in delivering his budget speech.

``I am exhausted and feel almost choked. I don't know how I completed the budget speech,'' a visibly tired Mr. Prasad told reporters after his one hour forty-five minute-long speech.

However, when it was pointed out that he was not looking his bubbly self, Mr. Prasad retorted in his characteristic style, To kya hanumanjee ki tarah uchchale? [Should I jump like Hanuman?

Earlier, when Mr. Prasad stood up to present the Budget, NDA members trooped out of the House. This prompted Mr. Prasad to remark: "The BJP and the NDA are in the habit of showing their back whenever I get up."

To this, the BJP members said: The Congress has shown you its back ... it has ditched you in the Assembly elections ... they will ditch you sitting right beside you... " — UNI, PTI
