Stolen gold recovered
By Our Staff Reporter
HYDERABAD,
FEB. 26.
Sleuths of the Central Crime Station have further recovered over two kg gold looted from the Rajyalakshmi Jewellers at Abids. Already, the police had arrested one Gopal Ramanna Shetty from Mumbai and 1.2 kg gold was recovered.
According to sources, the CCS team, which has been in Mumbai for the last few days, is believed to have recovered the gold from one person through whom Gopal Ramanna Shetty disposed of the jewellery.
However, no further arrests were made, sources said.
It is learnt that Shetty was taken into police custody recently to get more information about his associates.
Sources said that some of the gang members had worked for a brief period for the Chota Rajan gang and the "Pujari" gang in Mumbai.
"They have worked with the gangs for a short time," a police official said. The police team in Mumbai are also investigating in what capacity they had worked for the underworld.
