Letters to the Editor
Sir, The Left parties' pressure on the Finance Minister on the eve of the budget is becoming apparent. The Left is enjoying power without accountability, in much the same way as the RSS was during the NDA Government's tenure. It should either join the Government or oppose it. It cannot oppose it from inside and support it from outside.
Dabhol Pawarkatkar,
* * * Sir, The Left parties have been systematically denouncing and blocking economic reform measures, which are necessary for the country's progress. It is amazing how a junior coalition partner is able to twist the arm of the major ally. The Left, it seems, is all out to put the clock of economic progress back.
Laxmi Narain & C.R.P. Setty,
