Letters to the Editor
Sir, The latest friction between the DMK and the Congress over a coalition government in Tamil Nadu is amusing. The DMK is not for a coalition in Tamil Nadu but is all for plum Ministries at the Centre. The way the Congress has dissociated itself from the remarks of E.V.K.S. Elangovan shows it does not want to upset the DMK. It is time the Congress decided to remain firm in the face of such arm-twisting by allies. There is no gainsaying that the DMK also needs the Congress.
