Farmers' lot

Sir, — The National Commission on Farmers has submitted the much-needed blueprint for improving the farmers' lot (Feb. 25). Will the Government implement them earnestly? Makke di roti aur sarson da saag is not just the most savoured delicacy in the Punjabi restaurants of the West. It originated from the hearts of the Punjabi fields. Ensuring that farmers do not commit suicide is the least we can do for them.
