Contrasting wins for Jharkhand, Goa
IMPHAL,
FEB. 28.
Jharkhand defeated Karnataka 3-0 while Goa beat Punjab 1-0 in their quarterfinal league matches of the 13th senior women's National football championship here on Monday.
In a Group `P' match Jharkhand's Jasinta Toppo scored the first goal in the 23rd minute, followed by Prabha Kumari in 24th and Mejhren Kindru in 35th. In Group `Q', Goa's international striker Blanka Barretto scored the winner in the second minute of play. In tomorrow's quarterfinal league, in Group `R' Maharashtra meets Tamil Nadu while in Group `S' Delhi faces Orissa. — PTI
