Jharkhand triumphs
AIZAWL,
FEB. 28.
In a thrilling contest, Jharkhand beat Manipur 2-1 in the final of the 41st under-19 Dr. B. C. Roy football championship here on Monday. The teams were tied 1-1 at the end of the first half.
The first goal was scored by Naorem Jimmy Singh of Manipur but Jharkhand equalised through Robert Lalthamuana. Jharkhand came back strongly in the second half when Harmanjot Singh scored the winner. — UNI
