TKM college likely to be reopened on Thursday
By Our Staff Reporter
KOLLAM,
FEB. 28.
The TKM College of Engineering which was closed indefinitely from February 15 is likely to reopen on March 3. A crucial meeting of the college authorities with parents of hostellers will be held at the college on March 1. A strategy to reopen the college will emerge at this meeting.
The college was closed indefinitely following the murder of an All-India Students' Federation leader, M. Shaiju, within the hostel complex on the night of February 14. Shaiju was not a student of the college.
The identity of those who stabbed Shaiju remains a mystery. The police had stated that a conflict between junior and senior students of the college had led to the clash.
