Dump unearthed
Our Karimnagar Staff Reporter writes: The Manthani police unearthed a dump of naxalites in the hillocks of Sithampalli in Manthani mandal and recovered Rs. 1 lakh in cash and some incriminating documents on Monday. The Godavarikhani ASP, Ch. Srikanth, said the dump belonged to the DCM, Dharmula Mallikarjun alias Srinu, who was killed in an encounter with the police in Gadudalagandi forest on Friday. The documents revealed that naxalites were planning a major offence in the east division by attacking vulnerable police stations.

Meanwhile, the CPI (ML) New Democracy has demanded a judicial enquiry by a sitting judge into the encounters at Gadudalagandi and Gopalpur. R. Subash Chandra Bose, secretary of the party, in a statement in Hyderabad condemned the encounters and wanted policemen responsible for the encounter killings punished.
