THRISSUR, FEB. 28. A team of CBI officers today questioned Shamsuddin from Perumbillissery near Cherpu in Thrissur district in connection with the stamp paper scam. Official sources said Mr. Shamsuddin was a vegetable vendor and was let off by the CBI team in the afternoon. He was asked to come back to the CBI team on Tuesday morning. However, when contacted, the CBI officials were tight-lipped on the details of the interrogation and on the level of involvement of Mr. Shamsuddin in the scam.
