VISAKHAPATNAM, FEB. 28. Employees of Government residential schools and colleges from north Andhra will take active part in the Chalo Assembly programme on March 4, followed by the `fast unto death' to be launched the next day at Hyderabad to press for their pending demands. This was decided at the meeting of the zone-1 unit of Government Residential Schools Teachers and Employees' Federation on Sunday. The employees are demanding regularisation of services of contract teachers, setting up of a special directorate for the institution, bifurcation of school and college, medical reimbursement, provident fund, etc. The State polit bureau chairman of the federation, K. Sarveswara Rao, associate president, U.V. Ramaiah, secretary, B. Kurmarao, and others addressed the meeting.
