Seminar on contribution of Jews

KOCHI, FEB. 28. The Malayalam department of the Sree Sankaracharya University of Sanskrit will organise a seminar on the literary and cultural contribution of Jews.

M.G.S. Narayanan will deliver the keynote address on `Jewish heritage in Kerala - literature and history' at the seminar hall in the academic block at 10.30 a.m. on Wednesday.

Scaria Zacharia will present a paper on the song tradition of Jews.

The seminar is being organised to mark the publication of `Karkuzhali-Yefefiah,' a collection of Malayalam lady songs of Jews, compiled jointly by Dr. Zacharia and Ophira Gamliel (Hebrew University).
